design your life

How it works
To create positive and lasting change in your life you need to do three things:

Learn to see the bigger picture and begin to understand what your options are so you can stop feeling so lost and confused.  When you do that you start to see your true options.

Get clear about what it is that really fulfils you. Find ways to get back in touch with yourself by discovering your personal values, interests and focus in on your illusive passions so you can connect with what fulfils you most in life.  This is tricky on your own, especially if you’ve tried before and failed.  Having someone who knows which key to use to unlock this information is priceless.

Create a personal plan of change that feels totally possible and, with support; start to take the individual steps to create the life that you want.  By having somebody help you who has already walked the path you can trust the plan you come up and find the courage to go for it.

As we know, doing it alone can be very challenging and it can be hard to keep going without support, especially when those closest to you may even feel threaten by the changes you want.

When was the last time you had the undivided, truthful attention of someone who had no personal agenda in your life?  Someone who is isn’t going to want to influence your decisions.

Getting to ‘the what’

When I first talk with my clients I focus on them discovering what would truly make them happy.  I call this ‘the what’.  We take a step back from where you are in your life and understand what is working, and what isn’t.  A client I was working with recently thought that everything was wrong.  However, once we looked at each area of her life individually using a very simple exercise, she could see that in fact it was only a couple of things that needed attention and way forward began to show itself.

Once you discover ‘the what’; we can then focus on ‘how’.  People who try to make changes alone often make the big mistake of wanting to know ‘how’ before they plump for ‘the what’.  The secret is that until you get absolutely clear on ‘what’ you want and declare that this is it! (without needing to know ‘how’ you are going to create it) you simple won’t be able to work out ‘how’.  Truth be told if you knew ‘how’ to do something you’d be doing it already!

Once we have the ‘how’ we then create a plan and ensure, with you being accountable to yourself, that you achieve what you want.

But I’ve tried to follow a plan before, I hear you cry!

Maybe you have, but if you haven’t looked at the limiting decisions you’ve made about yourself and how the world works; those unconscious beliefs that stop you every time, then it is very hard to create what you want.  Neuro Linguistic Programming – the science behind how the unconscious works - can help you shift those limitations and really get you rolling.
